The 2nd Annual Collective Foodie Recap

Food is magic! It can change our mood, it’s fun to experiment with, and it brings people together. We are so excited that for the second year in a row, we were able to produce #TheCollectiveFoodie to experience some of that magic for the night. It was great to mingle  with our guests, try tastings from five amazing LA restaurants, and learn from our incredibly informative panel. Not only was Angel City Brewery the most amazing host, but they also carefully selected the perfect beers to pair with the tastings from our restaurants which included The Nixon Chops & Whiskey, Little BeastBaldoria DTLA, Brack Shop Tavern, 71 Above. We ended the night with a special pairing of dark beer with Beauty Bar Chocolate. It was a definitely quite the party for our taste buds and our minds.

The restaurants we partnered with definitely spoiled us for the night with guacamole and crab from The Nixon, blue crab salad from Little Beast, english muffin meatball sliders from Baldoria DTLA, vegetarian mole tacos from Brack Shop Tavern, and key lime curd with black lemon meringue from 71 Above.

After our bellies were full, we listened to our amazing panel led by Sabina Gauld of the Konnect Agency. Our panelists included Anne Sage from the popular blog Anne Sage, Crisanta German director of Omnichannel Marketing at Sugarfina, Gemma Stafford host and creator of Gemma's Bigger Bolder Baking, and Seth Cohen managing partner at Sweetfin. They discussed how they made it in the industry and how they stay innovative. Anne told our audience, "Nothing we wanted was available, and that was our sign that we were ahead." Gemma shared about how building a community is the most important thing to her. Seth let us know that Sweetfin will be making their own rosé which will be out this July! We know where we'll be having those summer lunches.

We couldn't let our foodies leave empty handed. Everyone that attended received some great food related goodies to try at home.

The past two years have been such a success that we would like to announce The Collective Foodie Conference in 2019. Make sure you sign up for our email list so that you don't miss a thing!
