Take a Vacation Right in Your Own Backyard

We know running a business is round the clock hard work, and we can definitely relate to the feeling of needing a vacation but not really having the time. Self-care also easily gets pushed to the side. But, we are firm believers that it's so important to take some time out for yourself. Being burnt out is no fun and hurts you creatively and productively. Read on for some things you can do in LA to make you feel like you’re on vacation just for the day. And although the point is not to work, it's hard to notice that these places are also great for some content and will actually leave you feeling inspired to grind!

The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens

A garden stroll and a visit to the library sound like the perfect spots to get lost in your thoughts. The Botanical Gardens cover 120 acres that include more than a dozen specialized gardens. The visit wouldn’t be complete without having some nibbles at the Rose Garden Tea Room.

The Line Hotel

Your stay here is sure to keep you busy for the weekend. They offer weekly yoga, runs, Poketo Workshops that range from art and design to social media, food and technology. The Line includes rooms that overlook the city and is home to the Commissary which is one of our favorite Instagrammable restaurants which you can read about here. The Line is the perfect spot to get your mind off things.

Santa Monica Beach

Start by renting bikes in Venice then make your first stop at the pier. Play some games, go on the Ferris wheel, and have some fun satisfying your inner child. When you’re ready for some food, stop by Shutter’s on the Beach. The atmosphere combined with the views of the ocean will definitely give you those vacation vibes.
